site.btaBulgarian Dancers from Toronto Participate in Pan-American Masters Games Opening Ceremony in US
Trainees of the Igranka School of Bulgarian Folk Dances and Traditions in Toronto, Ontario, Canada participated in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games in Cleveland, Ohio, US taking place July 12-21, Igranka reports on its Facebook page.
The school says: "After 11 years of hard work and devotion, we the dancers of Igranka were honoured to share in the opening of the Pan-American Masters Games in Cleveland." Only 20 dance groups were selected to participate in "the biggest sports event in the Americas", and Igranka were the only ones to showcase Bulgarian folklore.
The opening ceremony was watched by a live audience of 45,000 and a TV audience of more than 300 million, the school says.
