February 10 (BTA) - According to preliminary data, in December 2019 the construction production index, calculated from seasonally adjusted data, was 0.7 per cent below its level of November 2019, the National Statistical Institute reported on Monday.

In December 2019 the building construction production index fell by 1.4 per cent, month-on-month, while the civil engineering production index rose by 0.3 per cent.

In December 2019, working day adjusted data showed a decrease in the construction production compared to the same month of 2018 by the same margin: 0.7 per cent.

Year on year, December 2019 saw a decrease of construction production, calculated from working day adjusted data, as a result of a 1.3 per cent decline in civil engineering and a 0.3 per cent drop in building construction. RI/LG
