site.btaCode Yellow, Orange Weather Warning Issued for Intense Rainfall, Thunder and Hail in East, Central Bulgaria

A code orange and a code yellow warning was issued on Thursday by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) for intense rainfall, thunder and hailstorms in East and Central Bulgaria.

There is a risk of flash floods during the night of June 14, NIMH forecasters warned.

There will be precipitation in many places on Friday, as they will be mostly brief, but intense and accompanied by thunder. Conditions for severe thunderstorms and hail will be present in the afternoon, mainly in the southeastern half of the country.

In the mountains, cumulus clouds will develop and there will be rain showers and thunderstorms.

Over the Black Sea coast, clouds will be significant, with rain showers, thunder and hail.
