Bulgaria's National Audit Office has been elected auditor of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) for a third consecutive three-year term, the National Audit Office said in a press release on Wednesday.

For the past six years, the National Audit Office has been acting as Auditor of EUROSAI together with Croatia's State Audit Office, while for the next three-year period its partner will be the Netherlands' Court of Audit. The decision was taken by an absolute majority of the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions during the XII EUROSAI Congress, held online on May 27-28, where Bulgaria was represented by National Audit Office acting Chair Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva.

The EUROSAI Congress took stock of the organization's activities over the past three years and set the direction for future development by adopting the Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2030, the National Audit Office said.
