Documentary Screening Marks Two Years of Beginning of Ukraine War

The screening of a documentary, “The Pulse of Ukraine", and a photo exhibition, entitled "War vs. Life", by photographer Oleksandr Baron at the Central Military Club in Sofia will mark two years since the beginning of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the Defence Ministry said. 

Defence Minister Todor Tagarev will be attending the event. Ukrainian Ambassador Olesya Ilashchuk, diplomats, senior officers have been invited, the Ministry said.

"The Pulse of Ukraine" is the first in a series, "Letters from the War", produced by the Information Centre of the Defence Ministry. The aim is to present an emotional first-person account of the war in Ukraine in all its manifestations, as well as the place of Bulgarians in it. 

After the screening there will be a discussion with the team that created the film - Tetiana Staneva (writer and director), Toma Ivanov (executive producer), Borislav Vassilev (director of photography), Yan Lelyuk (director of photography), Mariana Pencheva (editor), Dana Metanova and Milena Tosheva (editors). 

An exhibition dedicated to the second anniversary of the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine was also opened in the central lobby of Sofia University on February 19. The exhibition presents photographs and children's drawings that reveal the face of the war in Ukraine.
