site.btaPresidents of Bulgaria, Azerbaijan Discuss Strategic Bilateral Partnership
Meeting in Serbia's Nis on Sunday, Presidents Rumen Radev of Bulgaria and Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan discussed the strategical bilateral partnership, the Bulgarian head of State's press secretariat reported. Radev was in Serbia on Sunday at the invitation of his counterpart Aleksandar Vucic for the commissioning ceremony of the Bulgaria-Serbia Gas Interconnector.
At the bilateral meeting, Radev gave a high mark to the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of energy, including in natural gas supplies for Bulgaria, the region, and Europe. The sides agreed that the putting into operation of the Bulgaria-Serbia Gas Interconnector creates opportunities for a deeper partnership in this field.
The two heads of State also discussed the options for further development of the bilateral investment cooperation in tourism in Bulgaria.
Ahead of Sunday's commissioning ceremony, Radev also held a bilateral meeting with Serbian President Vucic.
