site.btaNew 196 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Last 24 Hours

July 19 (BTA) - New 196 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in
Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 2,003 PCR tests, according
to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg on Sunday morning. The
highest number of new cases were registered in Sofia (55),
followed by Blagoevgrad (28) and Bourgas (19).
   
The total of COVID-19 cases is now 8,638, of which 4,258 are
active.
   
The number of recoveries rose to 4,081, with 48 new recoveries
in the last 24 hours.

The death toll reached 299, with 2 new deaths in the past 24
hours.
 
A total of 605 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, and 34 of
them are in intensive care.

The number of infected medical staff is 567.
