Traffic at the border crossing checkpoints with Turkiye, North Macedonia and Serbia is normal on Monday morning, Border Police said.

On the border with Turkiye, traffic is normal at all border crossings. Temporarily, the passage through the Malko Tarnovo checkpoint will be carried out on one route due to reconstruction work.

In view of the increased interest in traveling along the Rudozem - Xanthi route, the Border Police report that construction works are being carried out on the road on the Greek side. The Greek authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is a construction site, and no outsiders are allowed to enter it. Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the area of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

On January 8, the overhaul of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse resumed, which is why a temporary traffic organization has been introduced, with traffic in one lane with a through traffic regime and regulated by employees of the contractor.
