Conditions for hiking in the mountains are good on Wednesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) said. It is foggy and windy in the higher parts, but temperatures are generally suitable for hiking. In Borovets and Bansko, the cable cars are working, as well as the chairlift in Pamporovo. The MRS recommends checking the specific weather situation before undertaking hikes.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains. In the afternoon, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop and in many places there will be short, temporarily intense precipitation and thunderstorms, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. There are conditions for significant amounts of precipitation in the mountains of Southwestern and Eastern Bulgaria. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be about 22C, at 2,000 metres - about 14C.
