The pro-European Europe Now movement won the most support in the early parliamentary elections held on June 11 in Montenegro but will have to look for coalition partners to ensure stable governance of the country.

The newly formed movement was supported by 25.6% of those who voted on June 11, according to preliminary data from the NGO Centre for Monitoring and Research (CEMI), with 99% of the sample processed.

The second place goes to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), whose leader until recently was the former president of the country Milo Djukanovic. The coalition around DPS won 23.8%. Djukanovic, who had been in the country's government for about 30 years, stepped down from the leadership after losing the presidential run-off to the other Europe Now leader, incumbent President Jakov Milatovic, in April.

The elections on June 11 are crucial for overcoming the political crisis in the country and for continuing on the path of European integration.
