site.btaDemocratic Union Chair: Amending Macedonian Constitution to Recognize Bulgarians Must Be Reciprocal

Democratic Union Chair and MP in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Pavle Trajanov, said during a press conference on Tuesday that the necessary proposals for amendments to the Macedonian Constitution have not been made since July 2022, when Bulgaria and North Macedonia signed a protocol. The lack of such proposals means there is no basis, on which to start expert discussions and then possible debates in the Macedonian Assembly. According to Trajanov, adding Bulgarians in the Macedonian Constitutions has to be a reciprocal process.
