Sofia, August 4 (BTA) - National Assembly Chairman Mihail Mikov Monday sent condolences for Austrian National Council President Barbara Prammer to Federal Council President Ana Blatnik, the Bulgarian Parliament said.

Mikov wrote: "Barbara Prammer will leave a bright mark in Austria's political life, having devoted years of her life in politics to the struggle for women's rights and to striving for her country's progress and welfare.

"Prammer was an indisputable authority and an excellent politician who lived with the public's problems, a politician respected both in her own country and abroad. I am confident that we will manage to follow her outstanding example because she was a paragon of devotion and professionalism, worthy of being followed.

"We will remember her as an honest, principled politician and stateswoman, who struggled for democracy and a new political culture, a person who stayed true to her principles and ethics in all political actions," Mikov wrote.
