EU's Foreign Affairs
Council Meeting


Brussels, November 18 (BTA) - Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev
Tuesday participated in the Foreign Affairs Council meeting with
the participation of the defence ministers of the EU Member
States, his ministry said in a press release. Nenchev arrived on
a two-day visit to Brussels on Monday.

The forum started with a meeting of the Steering Board of the
European Defence Agency (EDA). The meeting of the EU defence
ministers focused on EDA's draft budget for 2015, the Union's
military operations, the situation in the broader neighbourhood
(Ukraine, the Middle East, Libya), and the preparation of the
June 2015 European Defence Council.

During his visit to Brussels on Monday, the Bulgarian Defence
Minister conferred with NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander
Vershbow. They discussed Bulgaria's commitments in the Alliance.
Nenchev presented the main directions of his ministry's work
and the initiatives for the Bulgarian army's rearmament and
modernization.
