Top Ten Companies with Highest Growth Report 125% Growth of Income from Sales

Sofia, September 9 (BTA) - A survey of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) shows a 125 per cent increase of the proceeds from sales in 2015 of the top ten companies with highest growth year-on-year, BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov said on Friday.

The survey covered over 6,000 companies accounting for around 85 per cent of the GDP for 2015 based on the data of the companies' annual financial statements.

More than half of the fastest developing companies operate in the areas of trade and construction. The good results of the latter are largely due to public projects.

Companies of the chemical industry and mechanical engineering reported the highest growth of sales in 2015 compared to 2014.

The 50 best ranked companies increased their profit seven times in 2015 compared to 2014. The average profit was 9.4 million leva, compared to 1.2 million leva in 2014.

The analysis by regions shows that the biggest companies in the Southwest Region report ten times more revenues compared to the ones operating in the Northwest Region.

Simeonov said he expects a growth of investments in Bulgaria adding that Turkish and Greek companies consider increasing their investments in Bulgaria due to the good business environment in the country.
