Interior Minister: Turkish Nationals Were Deported Because They Entered Bulgaria Illegally

Sofia, October 28 (BTA) - The seven Turkish nationals were deported because they had entered illegally Bulgaria, said Interior Ministry Roumiana Buchvarova during Friday's Question Time in Parliament

The seven men were detained at Danube bridge on October 14.

None of them sought protection in Bulgaria and they could not explain when they entered Bulgaria, so they were returned to Turkey.

According to media reports, the seven men were wanted for their alleged ties with the organization of Fethullah Gulen.

None had declared political motives for leaving Turkey.
