Rally against Accommodation of Migrants in Southeastern Village
Elhovo, Southeastern Bulgaria, October 29 (BTA) - About five hundred people have gathered in a rally in the Southeastern village of Boyanovo against the accommodation of migrants in the former army barracks near the village. The protesters, who include residents of the village and people from elsewhere in the country, are against the construction of a migrants camp near the village.
On Friday Interior Minister Roumyana Buchvarova conferred with Yambol Regional Governor Dimiter Ivanov and Boyanovo Mayor Krustyo Draganov. Buchravova told them them 52 trailers, where six people will be accommodated each, will be set up in the perimeter of the army barracks. The facility will be a closed-type camp with police security. Buchvarova also undertook to render assistance for repair works of the infrastructure in Boyanovo, Draganov said.
