Director of Egyptian Museum of Turin
to Give Public Lecture
in Sofia


Sofia, January 25 (BTA) - The Italian Cultural Institute and the National Institute of Archaeology with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences are organizing a public lecture in Sofia by the Director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin (Museo Egizio), Prof. Christian Greco, the institute said.

Prof. Greco will speak about archaeology and successful museum management at an event in the institute's conference hall on January 31.

Greco is known for turning what once was a dusty repository into a museum that is dearest to Italian hearts and is a dynamic cultural centre, the organisers said.

Prof. Greco is an Italian Egyptologist. He studied Classics and Archaeology of the Near East at the University of Pavia, and attained a PhD in Egyptology from the University of Pisa in 2008. He became director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin in April 2014. BR/LY
