GERB Floor Leader
Tsvetan Tsvetanov
Quits Parliament

March 27 (BTA) - Tsvetan Tsvetanov Wednesday resigned as GERB Floor Leader and quit Parliament. He told a briefing in Parliament that he would keep his position as GERB Deputy
Chairman and head of the party's election campaign headquarters. Tsvetanov also said there was nothing he was ashamed of.

This comes in the wake of disclosures that members of Boyko Borissov's government and of Parliament bought underpriced luxury apartments in Sofia from the same seller, Arteks Engineering.

Tsvetanov's resignation follows those of Justice Minister Tsetska Tsacheva, Deputy Sports Minister Vanya Koleva and DeputyEnergy Minister Krassimir Purvanov. All of them have taken place since March 22.

On March 22, the Counter-Corruption Commission and the Supreme Cassation Prosecution Office said they were launching probes against Tsvetanov, Tsacheva, Koleva and parliamentary Culture Committee Chairman Vezhdi Rashidov.
