site.btaNavy Carries Out Firing Exercise with Mobile Coastal Defence Missile System

June 11 (BTA) - The Navy carried out firing practice with
 a Rubezh mobile coastal defence missile system on Thursday, the
 Defence Ministry said in a press release. Defence Minister
Krassimir Karakachanov, who watched the practice, said that the
Navy performed excellently. Such practice was last held 18 years
 ago, he said.

The practice was also watched by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov,
Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Chief of Defence Admiral
 Emil Eftimov, other top brass and MPs.

Borissov praised the firing practice and said that the projects
for the modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces will
proceed.

The firing practice is part of a series of summer exercises of
