Energy Regulator Chair
Sofia, September 3 (BTA) - The government on Wednesday appointed
Svetla Todorova chair of the State Energy and Water Regulatory
Committee (SWERC). Todorova is replacing Boyan Boev who resigned
together with SWERC member Lilyana Mladenova. A third SWERC
member, Elenko Bozhkov, was fired due to conflict of interest.
Evgenia Haritonova and Kostadinka Todorova will replace
Mladenova and Bozhkov.
A graduate in economy, Svetla Todorova has 35-year experience in
the energy sector. Between 2001 and 2006 she was a member of
the energy regulator. She is currently a consultant on a EU
project on regulation of Ukraine's electricity market.
Evgenia Haritonova is a former SWERC chair and member. In
2012-2013 she served as deputy economy minister.
Kostadinka Todorova graduated in electrical engineering from
Sofia's Technical University. Between 2002 and 2010 she headed
the departments for energy strategies and forecasts and energy
efficiency with the Ministry of Economy and Energy. SN/PP
