Durdiliyev and the delegation he leads are paying a three-day visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Regional Development and Public Works Minister Liliyana Pavlova.

Durdiliyev said during the meeting that he was impressed by the implementation of the project for constructing Sofia's metro. Borissov noted the Government's serious work for improving the infrastructure in this country, adding that there are opportunities for cooperation with Turkmenistan in such sectors as agriculture, sports, construction and the supply of building materials.

During the plenary talks between the two delegations, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev underscored that a foundation has been created for the development of good bilateral relations and the Turkmen delegation's visit will allow for these relations to be upgraded.

Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov noted that a visit by Turkmenistan's President to Bulgaria is being organized.
