Leaders of Ruling Coalition Voice Readiness for Successful Completion of Term

Sofia, September 1 (BTA) - The leaders of the parties in the ruling coalition voiced readiness and will for successful implementation of the Government's tenure programme and full serving of their four-year term in office at a meeting under Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the Cabinet's press service said on Thursday.

The international threats and Bulgaria's national interests outline the guaranteeing of the country's national security, financial stability and successful preparation for the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU as priorities during the new political season, reads the press release. The leaders reached an agreement about the need of political stability, which would ensure the country's economic development and the sustaining of reforms. Bulgaria's active participation in the decision-making processes in EU and NATO remains as a key priority.

Participating in the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister for coalition policy and public administration Roumyana Buchvarova, Deputy Prime Minister for coordination of European policies and institutional issues and Chair of Citizens for Bulgaria Movement Meglena Kuneva, Economy Minister and Union of Democratic Forces leader Bozhidar Loukarski, Defence Minister and leader of the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union Nikolai Nenchev, Korman Ismailov, Chair of the Freedom and Dignity Popular Party, GERB Floor Leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Reformist Bloc Co-Floor Leader Naiden Zelenogorski and Reformist Bloc Deputy Floor Leader Borislav Velikov.
