Sofia, March 6 (BTA) - The State Agency for Electronic Governance has reported an increase in Internet abuse alerts.

More than 230 alerts of abuse affecting over 5,100 IP addresses were processed in February. Of them, 157 were security incidents as defined by the EU Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), according to the monthly newsletter of CERT Bulgaria, the National Computer Security Incidents Response Team affiliated with the State Agency.

CERT Bulgaria found that Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks accounted for 64 per cent of all incidents, up 20 percentage points on January. Malware attacks accounted for 14 per cent of all incidents, followed by phishing websites (12 per cent). VI/DD
