Sofia, December 5 (BTA) - According to seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2017 is 3.9 per cent compared to the same quarter of last year and 0.9 per cent compared to the second quarter of 2017, the National Statistical Institute reported Tuesday. GDP at current prices amounts to 26,990,000,000 leva in the third quarter of 2017. In euro terms GDP stands at 13,800,000,000 or 1,948 euro per person.

Compared to the third quarter of 2016, the share of the agricultural sector in the gross value added of the economy decreases by 0.6 percentage points to 7.3 per cent. The share of the industrial sector drops by 0.4 percentage points to 28.5 per cent. The relative share of value added from service activities increases from 63.2 per cent to 64.2 per cent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to preliminary data for the third quarter of 2017, GDP per employed has increased by 1.1 per cent year-on-year.

The employed in the economy number 3,716,900 and the total number of work-hours - 1,490,400,000. One employed accounts for 7,261.5 leva of the current volume of GDP, each employed generating an average 18.1 leva GDP per hour worked.
