Sofia, January 29 (BTA) - Bulgaria is ready to provide expert aid to Macedonia in all sectors of healthcare, the Health Ministry said after a meeting Monday between Health Minister Kiril Ananiev and his Macedonian counterpart Venko Filipce.

Macedonia has established working groups to align the country's legislation in the healthcare sector with the European standards, with focus on improving work on the quality and efficiency of drugs, training of medical professionals and organ transplantations.

Ananiev said that in addition to expert aid, Bulgaria can also provide assistance in healthcare regulations.

The sides agreed whereby the Bulgarian Drugs Agency provide its laboratory for testing of drugs from Macedonia.

Ananiev said the two countries should think about a new agreement in healthcare.
