Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov sees the no-confidence motion against his Cabinet as "some kind of attempt to sow discord between the parties in the ruling coalition". He was speaking Wednesday at the beginning of the government's weekly meeting.

"This motion, the debate and tomorrow's vote are not aimed at rebuking the government for two months of governance," the Prime Minister said, and pointed out that they are much more resilient, so as not to be misled by the motives and subject of the debate. "Bulgaria has chosen its value model and its development course for over three decades now. This is democracy. Bulgaria is part of Europe, part of the common system for protecting its national security and integrity. It is the unwavering position that this government will follow," Prime Minister Zhelyazkov also says.

On Wednesday, Parliament is debating a no-confidence motion submitted by Vazrazhdane, MECh and Velichie. The motion will be put to the vote on Thursday.
