The 33rd Olympiad in Bulgarian language, literature, history, culture and traditions was held in Moldova, the coordinator of the campaign for students in Bulgaria from Moldova, Dr. Maria Delibaltova, said on Facebook. A total of 38 ninth- to twelfth- graders from schools in Gagauzia, Taraclia, Chisinau and Cantemir District participated in the competition.
The first places in the language competition went to: ninth-grader Julieta Tsvyatkova (Olimpiy Panov Theoretical Lyceum), tenth-grader Viktoriya Voinskaya (Ivan Vazov Theoretical Lyceum), eleventh-grader Anastasiya Hristova of the Theoretical Lyceum in Tvarditsa (Taraclia District), and twelfth-grader Anastasiya Kovach (Olimpiy Panov Theoretical Lyceum).
The twelfth-grader who wins the national Olympiad has the opportunity to enrol in a higher-educational institution (excluding medical ones) in Bulgaria without taking exams.
The award ceremony will take place on May 24 at the Bulgarian Embassy in Chisinau.
Olympiads in Bulgarian language and literature, Gagauzian language and literature, and Ukrainian language and literature are organized by the National Curriculum and Assessment Agency of the Education and Science Ministry in cooperation with members of national Olympiad councils and juries, and with the support of the Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University of Chisinau.
