site.btaEthnocultural Festival to Bring Together Ethnic Groups from Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine in Taraclia

An ethno-cultural festival entitled "Unity through Diversity" will take place in Taraclia, the centre of the Bulgarians in Moldova, on September 23. On the town square, the lifestyle and culture of the peoples living in the republic and in other countries will be presented, organizers from the Taraclia District Council said on Monday.

In addition to a cultural and entertainment programme, guests of the festival will see arranged ethno-fairs, an assortment of products and crafts of artisans and local producers, wine-grower products, master classes and tasting of national dishes and snacks.

The event will start with a solemn procession of representatives of different ethnic groups from Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.

The main objectives of the festival are to promote the national culture of the peoples, mutual enrichment of national cultures, education of tolerance in the field of interethnic relations, promotion of the best examples of folklore, identification of the most talented masters of folk arts and crafts.
