Oslo 2021 champion Bilyana Dudova made her way to the bronze medal bout at the Belgrade World Wrestling Championships' 62 kg Olympic weight class following her defeat over two opponents in the repechage. She will have the opportunity to take a rematch against the current vice champion, Grace Bullen of Norway, on Thursday night.

Dudova started the repechage with a 11-0 win over Uzbekistan's Ariukhan Jumabaeva, then entered a bout with the experienced Brazilian Lais Nunes. The South American opted for defensive tactics and did not attack the Bulgarian once, which led to her losing and suffering a penalty point for passivity.

Dudova will face Bullen in a bout for bronze and an Olympic qualifying spot on Thursday after 7 p.m. The two last met in the spring, when the Norwegian defeated the Bulgarian national in the semifinals of the European Wrestling Championships in Zagreb in a dramatic bout. It ended 7-6 in favour of Bullen, who has two continental titles.
