Joint business activities between Bulgaria and Romania and possibilities to attract investors to Stara Zagora Region were discussed at Wednesday's meeting between representatives of Stara Zagora Municipality and the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce.

Romania is one of the markets with which Stara Zagora can work together, said Stara Zagora Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev, citing a joint analysis of the Municipality and the European Commission. He outlined the investment potential of Stara Zagora Region and emphasized the desire of the municipal administration to attract investors who would contribute to the development of the local economy and the labour market in the region.

"We are ready to organize a forum and invite a business delegation from Romania to our town, to present Stara Zagora at an event in Romania, as well as to talk directly with companies which are ready to relocate or reinvest. We offer a good tax policy and a well-developed railway network," Tanev stressed.

He also said the third edition of WorkIn Stara Zagora, the largest municipal job fair in Southern Bulgaria, will be held on April 11-12. It will include a talk on the labour market in the region, as well as on business trends and innovations.
