Bulgaria is taking part at the International Book Fair in Leipzig with its own stand (D 402 in Hall 4), which opened on March 27. Among the official guests of the event were the Bulgarian Ambassador to Germany Grigor Porozhanov, the Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute (BCI) in Berlin Borislav Petranov, representatives of the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, and Desislava Aleksieva, Chair of the Board of the Bulgarian Book Association (BBA), the Ministry of Culture and BCI-Berlin announced on Facebook.
For the third consecutive year, the Bulgarian stand is part of the Traduki space, an international platform that supports translations, book exchange and literary links between Central and South-Eastern Europe. The stand is organized by the Culture Ministry and BBA with the support of BCI-Berlin, the release said.
The Leipzig International Book Fair is a leading platform for cultural and professional exchange in the field of literature and publishing, providing Bulgarian authors and publishers with the opportunity to present their work to a wide international audience, the Ministry of Culture said.
