The National Museum of Natural History at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will celebrate International Bird Day (April 1) with the presentation of the electronic trilingual illustrated dictionary in two volumes, created by Prof. Zlatozar Boev. The event will be held on April 2 in the museum building in Sofia, the organizers said.
The books are entitled Terminologia ornithologica Bulgarica, Vol. 1. Taxonomia. Illustrated trilingual dictionary of the birds of the world. English - Latin - Bulgarian. Part 1. Non-Passeriformes and Terminologia ornithologica Bulgarica, Vol. 1. Taxonomia. Illustrated trilingual dictionary of the birds of the world. English - Latin - Bulgarian. Part 2. Passeriformes.
The editions will be freely available on the museum's website, the team of the cultural institution said.
Prof. Zlatozar Boev was born in 1955 in Sofia. He graduated from Sofia University. His scientific research is in the field of paleoornithology, ornithoarchaeology, evolution of birds and paleoavifauna, bone and exterior morphology of birds, bird extinction and extinction, history of zoology, ornithology, paleontology and natural history collections.
