Manufacturers of food and beverages, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and retail companies are among the hardest hit by inflation, the effects of war, supply disruptions and new EU regulations. The sixth annual Responsible Production and Trade Forum, now a tradition for Manager magazine, will bring together representatives of key companies and institutions for the sector in a discussion on Thursday, organizers said.

Participants share experiences, innovations, best practices and vision to overcome the challenges facing businesses to both meet the growing needs of domestic consumers and unleash their export potential.

The forum is then divided into three panels: Food and drink - transformation and adaptation; E-commerce - value at any price; Bulgaria's export strength.

The first panel discusses how the quality of food will be ensured after the abolition of the BDS (Bulgarian National Standard); the effect of a new regulation on the control of the movement of goods with high fiscal risk; the opportunities and challenges for the relationship between producers and retailers in the context of quality and sustainability; changing consumer expectations towards the food they consume.

The second panel focuses on technology in online sales, personalization of the shopping experience, "buy now, and pay later" – fad or sustainable trend.

The third panel discusses how to conquer foreign markets, the competitive advantages of Bulgarian production and creating a positive brand reputation outside the country.
