site.btaBulgaria and Poland Establish New Network for Tourism Cooperation within Three Seas Initiative Framework


Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva headed the Bulgarian delegation to the fifth edition of the Three Seas Local Government Congress, the press centre of the line ministry said on Friday. During the forum, the 3Seas Tourism Network was established. It is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, the Lublin Voivodeship and other partners.
"The Three Seas Initiative is a key mechanism for the development of tourism through better connectivity, investments in infrastructure and modern marketing strategies. Bulgaria will continue to work actively to establish the region as an attractive tourist destination," said Deputy Minister Georgieva.
The Three Seas Initiative will support the development of cultural and eco-tourism, promote the exchange of good practices and help create common tourism products for the region. An important focus will also be the digitalization of tourism services, which will improve the competitiveness of the sector.
The Bulgarian delegation took part in discussions on the economic and infrastructure development of the region. A panel dedicated to the 3SI Tourism Network also included Nikolay Kostov, representative of the Ministry of Tourism at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Warsaw. The Ministry of Tourism continues to promote international cooperation in the sector for sustainable growth and competitiveness.
