J Balvin, recognized as a global phenomenon of Latin music and a pioneer in modern reggaeton, is coming to Bulgaria for a concert, the organizers from Fest Team announced Thursday.

The Colombian star will present his greatest hits at the Arena Sofia Velodrome on July 1.

The event is part of the Sofia Solid Series.

J Balvin, whose real name is José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, was born in Medellín, Colombia, on May 7, 1985. He is one of the world's most listened to artists and an absolute example of the universal language of music. Hits like Mi Gente, Ginza, Ay Vamos and Qué Más Pues? have left their mark on a whole generation, and his stage presence makes every concert a memorable experience, the Fest Team points out.

Landmark moments of the singer's career include an appearance on the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, collaborations with Beyoncé, Skrillex and Rosalia, and accolades from the Latin Grammys, Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards. In addition to music, J Balving has also established himself as an influential figure in fashion with appearances at the Met Gala and partnerships with brands such as Guess, Nike Air Jordan and Miller Lite.
