Russian Drone Attack Injures Two in Odesa Region

The Odesa Region was again subjected to a massive Russian drone attack, Odesa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper wrote on Telegram on Thursday. 

Two persons were injured in the attack, one of whom is hospitalized, the Regional Governor said. He has information that the attack targeted civilian and energy infrastructure of the coastal town of Pivdenne (formerly known as Yuzhne), 35 km from Odesa.

An energy facility was hit, leaving more than 10,000 residents of Pivdenne without power supply. All emergency services are on site and are repairing the damage.

Private homes and apartment blocks were damaged two, the glazing of an administrative building was smashed, as well as at least 15 cars.

Odesa Region is home to the third largest community of expatriate Bulgarians - more than 150,000-strong, according to an official population census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the regional capital, Odesa, while others are concentrated in the districts of Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
