site.btaBurgas Hosts Three-day Wine and Spirits Festival

Over 350 Bulgarian and foreign wines and spirits will be presented within the three-day festival "Wine and Spirits Fest Burgas", which kicks off on Friday at the International Congress Centre in the coastal city. Forty Bulgarian and foreign wine producers are taking part in the event, the organizers Expo Team said. 

The twelfth edition of the festival will run until July 21. Traditionally, apart from wineries and distilleries, representatives of retail chains, gourmet shops and hotels also take part in it. On July 16 and 17, an international tasting jury held a competition and evaluated all the participants, selecting the best of them in 4 categories, the organizers specified. The award ceremony is on Friday.  

The festival will be held under the auspices of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The partners are the Executive Agency on Vine and Wine, the National Vine and Wine Chamber, and the Oenologists' Union.
