The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, which has branches in New York and Los Angeles, is coming back to Bulgaria to hold its second acting workshop here. The course will take place in Sofia on July 15-28, the organizers said.
Participants will be able to work personally with David Lee Strasberg, son of legendary Lee Strasberg and CEO at the Los Angeles Campus. David Lee Strasberg will be teaching classes for the first time on the Balkan Peninsula along with Dig Wayne, an acting teacher based in Los Angeles and a member of the Actors Studio.
The course will give anyone interested in acting a chance to get familiar with "method acting", a technique favored by some of Hollywood's most iconic actors. The organizers of the workshop are Bulgarian actress Kristina Veroslavova, known from the series Dads and The Grapes of Guilt, and producer Nikolay Mutafchiev.
The workshop will conclude with a performance in which the actors will present the scenes they have worked on.
Lee Strasberg, known as the chief American exponent of "method acting," had trained some of the world’s best actors. Among his most famous "method" disciples are Al Pacino, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, and Lady Gaga.
