The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Museum of Physical Culture and Sport signed a cooperation agreement in Sofia on Monday. The document was signed by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and National Sport Base Executive Director Svetoslav Rusinov during an award ceremony for BTA's Balkan Athlete of the Year annual poll. The ceremony took place in the museum located at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on the occasion of the poll's 50th anniversary.

The Museum of Physical Culture and Sport is located in a specially adapted hall at the Vasil Levski National Stadium. It was established by a Supreme Committee for Physical Education and Sport decision and a Culture Ministry letter dated April 26, 1956. The first museum exposition was opened on March 30, 1962.
