site.bta66th Edition of Mass Swim Across Danube to Be Held in Svishtov on July 27

For the 66th time, a mass swim across the Danube river will be held on July 27 in Svishtov, said the organizers from Svishtov Municipality on Friday.

Participants will be registered half an hour before the start of the swim and undergo a medical examination, during which they will sign a declaration that they are able to swim. After the inspection, they will take a ferry ride to the Romanian coast, from where they will swim a one kilometre long section to the Bulgarian bank of the river.

The event is organized together with the Bulgarian Red Cross and with the support of the Defense Ministry.
