An exhibition of works by the Belgian artist René Magritte opened at the Art Gallery in Silistra. The exposition contains 86 graphic works by the artist, which are being shown for the first time in Bulgaria. They are part of a collection of the Kesauri family from Georgia, which counts over 3,000 works by masters of the brush of world renown.

It is the third exhibition that the Art Galley in Silistra have realized together with the Kesauri family - collectors and patrons of fine art. "When I found out that they had a collection of works by René Magritte, I was very keen to do an exhibition in Silistra. The whole gallery team is enthusiastic about the works of this brilliant artist and I hope people will appreciate them too," Yordan Kolev, director of the Gallery, told BTA.

The exhibition will remain in the Danube town until the end of February. After that, the gallery will exhibit works by Edgar Degas, also owned by the Kesauri family.
