Bulgaria’s Archives State Agency will house an exhibition marking the 120th anniversary of the outbreak of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising - a mass revolt of the Macedonian and Thracian Bulgarians against the Ottoman rule, organized by the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Organization in 1903. The exhibition will be on display in the Archives Exhibition Hall on October 17, the organizers said on Thursday.

The exhibition will include photographs and valuable archival documents from the funds of the Central State Archives, the State Military Historical Archives, the State Archives in Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Kyustendil, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, among others.

The exhibition is part of a national plan to commemorate the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising’s 120th anniversary and is funded by the Culture Ministry.
