Pianist Svetlina Boyadzhieva will perform a piano recital at the Polish Institute in Sofia on Tuesday night, the host said. The event is organized in cooperation with the Frederic Chopin Music Association.
The programme will include Franz Liszt's Legend No. 2: St. Francis of Paola walking on the waves, Frederic Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35, and Polonaise in F-sharp minor, Op. 44, Alexander Vladigerov's Dilmano Dilbero Variations, Op. 2.
Boyadzhieva was born in 1996. She began studying piano at the age of four. She graduated from the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music in Sofia, then was accepted to the State Music Academy Prof. Pancho Vladigerov in Sofia.
The young pianist has won numerous national and international competitions, including the Giovanni Promesse, Lams Matera and Citta degli Imperiali.
