site.btaKavarna History Museum Director Awarded at International Forum "Brand Bulgaria - Touch the Wonders"

Kavarna History Museum Director Penko Georgiev was awarded for his activities in the category "Brand Black Sea" for the underwater route in Kavarna. The award was presented to him at the Third International Forum "Brand Bulgaria - Touch the Wonders", Kavarna Municipality reported Saturday. 

The event was organized by the Bulgarian representation of Europa Nostra - Cultural Heritage Society, which brings together the expertise of cultural and tourism NGOs, foundations and higher education institutions, the municipality said.

The Forum was held under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel.

The Kavarna History Museum and the Centre for Underwater Archaeology are planning to designate an underwater route for tourists. Architectural landmarks of the sunken ancient town near the port of Kavarna will be marked underwater.
