On September 9 and 10, in the archaeological park "West Gate of Ancient Serdica", the association for Antiquity reconstruction “Mos Maiorum Ulpiae Serdicae” presents the third edition of the festival of ancient heritage "Serdica is my Rome". Entrance is free.

This is the only festival of historical reenactments of its kind, dedicated to the ancient past of Sofia - a period that left lasting and vivid traces in Bulgarian and European history. This year, the rich programme will offer recreations of significant events from the reign of Emperor Constantine the Great, many of which will be presented for the first time to the public.

The scientific conference “Historia Vivens”, dedicated to Late Antiquity, will open on September 8 at the information centre of the "Ancient Serdica" exposition (2 Maria Luisa Blvd.).

The festival is organized by the association for Antiquity reconstruction “Mos Maiorum Ulpiae Serdicae” in partnership with the regional history museum of Sofia, with the aid and funding of Sofia Municipality’s cultural programme.
