The state will finance the studies of over 46,000 new students in the 2023/2024 academic year, said Education Minister Galin Tzokov at the opening of the new academic year at the G. S. Rakovsky Military Academy on Monday. He cited which suggest that nearly 49,000 university students graduated in 2022.
„The number of graduates and new students show that young people make efforts to acquire new knowledge and skills. We have a responsibility to give them the best education and motivate them to stay here,” said the Minister.
According to him, the oldest military school has given a lot to the modern Bulgarian state, it keeps traditions alive and continues to enrich them with the highest achievements of the modern world.
Attending the ceremony was Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, Defence Chief Admiral Emil Eftimov, senior officers, Defence Ministry officials, ambassadors, etc.
Tagarev and Tzokov unveiled new classrooms at the Military Academy.
