Over thirty works by Prof. Teofan Sokerov are included in an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the artist's birth. The exposition is arranged in the art gallery in Lovech bearing his name.
"The exhibition includes all his works in the gallery's collection - a complete organic presence throughout his life's creative path. The gallery owns the richest collection in the country of works by Sokerov,” art gallery director Valentin Uzunov told BTA on Thursday.
According to him, almost the entire creative career of Teofan Sokerov is displayed in the halls of the gallery.
The Professor's heirs have also provided works of his for the exhibition, which are from his last creative period. On the occasion of the anniversary, a catalogue dedicated to Teofan Sokerov was published with funding from the Ministry of Culture. It includes all the works that are in the gallery's collection, as well as his murals and monumental works that are in Lovech - in the Court House, Vasil Levski Museum and Preslav House. The booklet also features Prof. Sokerov’s biography.
The exhibition will be on display until the end of the year.
