Nearly 3,000 counterfeit clothing items with logos of protected trademarks were confiscated by police officers in Svilengrad during inspections at the Maritsa motorway, said the Haskovo Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry on Monday.

During inspections of two minibuses on February 21, driven by men from the Kardzhali village of Zvezdelina, the officers identified a total of 2,927 textile items with logos and inscriptions of protected trademarks without the permission of the rights holders.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the cases.
