Speaking at a protest in front of the Sofia City Court in connection with the arrest of his former aide Lachezar Stavrev, Co-Chair of Continue the Change Assen Vassilev said that the court and the prosecution service should start working in a normal way, not selectively, not as weapons.
“It does not matter if I am the next accused, I will give up my immunity, there is no evidence against me, all this is absolutely fabricated,” he said.
Citizens and supporters of the party have gathered at the scene. Some of them are holding placards with inscriptions. Among the protesters were MPs from the CC-DB parliamentary group, including Nikolay Denkov, Atanas Atanassov, Bozhidar Bozhanov and Ivaylo Mirchev.
