site.btaState Rail Operator Awarded BGN 48.143 Mln in Government Compensation for Costs Incurred in Providing Services

The Council of Ministers approved BGN 48.143 million in additional expenditures to the 2024 budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications to subsidize state rail operator BDZ - Passenger Transport, the Government's press service said on Wednesday.

According to the current contract for providing public rail transport services, BDZ - Passenger Transport will receive funds from the state budget as compensation for uncovered costs incurred in providing free and reduced-price rides for certain categories of citizens.
